What has Worca been doing?
Bike Swap raises over $1,100.00 for youth programs. Sunday's bike swap at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola was a success. The funds raised during the day will go directly to youth programs this summer. Thanks to Mark Beaton and crew for doing a great job.

WORCA's Whistler TRAIL DAZE took place last Saturday. The Spin Sisters cooked up a pancake breakfast for almost 50 volunteers at Teppan Village. We walked all the trails in Whistler and did minor maintenance and sent a report card on the condition of the trails to Tony. He'll use this information to guide Chris our Trail Maintenance Contractor and the Trail Maintenance Nights. WORCA's first Loonie Race! Held at Lost Lake, over 90 people turned up in the drizzle to take on the trails. The event was hosted by WORCA and Shakespeares Pies. Stay tuned for winners!.

The Pemberton TRAIL DAZE saw a turnout of 14 volunteers. Tony brewed up coffee and pancakes at the Outpost restaurant and trail maintenance took place on the entrance to Lumpy's. Eroded sections were repaired and a new switchback replacing a nasty hike a bike were completed. Go for a ride and check out the work. Thanks to those volunteers who helped out.

Chris Martle , local trail builder extraordinaire, has been awarded this year's trail maintenance contract and has already begun work on the local trails. Check them out!
